GROUND ROADS

Ground roads are common and less expensive roads, they are projected for less traffic places. The ground roads in Armenia are mainly rural roads, and there are almost no ground roads in capital Yerevan.
The most common way of building a ground way is ground (soil) alignment and required road appearance. But the ground roads are sensitive to weather conditions and sometimes it becomes non passable, dusty in summer, and muddy in the rainy season.
To make the ground roads more stable and resistant the road makers break up the soil, add soil stabilizers and binders, after which the road is formed and tightened with rammer. When it is necessary to prevent from adhesion additional and special protective materials are spread.
